Little is known about this Falklands schooner, built around 1895 by Tom Hennah at Port Stephens, West Falkland. She spent her entire career as a farm support vessel for Port Stephens farm and Henry Harrison (Harry) Hennah. She is mentioned in the local press in 1906-1909, when she was listed in Dean Brandon’s and Rev. J. Meredith-Bate’s itineraries around the southwestern ports and islands. Around 1934, GLADYS broke her moorings at Port Stephens in a south-east gale and was driven ashore and lost. A scow was built from her remains, which lay in Fegen Inlet, Port Stephens. There is no mention of her in the Stanley Shipping Registers.
